The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
For purposes of SonRise Community Church’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our elder board is SonRise Community Church’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
Long ago, it was common practice to define a thing by first defining what it is not. It was called the via negativa, or the way of negation. So, by stating what we are not, we are not seeking to attack those who disagree with us but instead seeking to distinguish ourselves so that those considering joining our church family are aware of who we are and who we are not.
