“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

(Psalm 34:17-18)

Located on Little Rd. in New Port Richey, SonRise Community Church in conjunction with Volunteer Way provides services to people in need. These include: meals the first saturday of every month, spiritual counseling, prayer, referral services, basic supplies, haircuts, and clothing to help the guests break the cycle of hunger, poverty, and despair.

SonRise recognizes the vital importance of providing basic nourishment to those who are hungry — but much more is needed. Together with the solidarity and commitment of our staff and voluntary donations, SonRise strives to be a gateway to positive change in the lives of the people it serves. It seeks to enlarge our guests’ capacity for self-help and reconnection to the broader community. Through our dedication and in our commitment to combating hunger and homelessness, we provide the support and respect guests need to become self-sufficient and regain hope for the future.

Please come join us if you’re available on the first Saturday of every month from 10:30am – 1:30pm.

In addition to Volunteer Way we also enjoy working with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and the men’s basketball team at Pasco-Hernando State College and Trinity College of Florida.
